OUR FIRST KENDEA LITTER!

I have loved Monty since the first time I laid eyes on him, watching him trot down the pathway with his sweepstakes ribbon at his very first show, in the capable hands of his loving owner Lance Golding… So much so I stepped out of my gazebo and thought WHO is that gorgeous little sable puppy? As he matured I was not disappointed and consequently he shot to the top of my ‘dream list’ for male dogs. Once he was titled, life happens as it normally does and we hadn’t seen Monty for quite a few years so when I contacted Lance and went for a visit, I was thrilled to see this wonderful 7-year-old mature Shaded Sable dog standing proudly in front of me with a wildly wagging tail. He was a total joy and even more beautiful than he was as an adolescent dog. He is a credit to his owners, breeders, and to the dogs behind him.

We have been blessed with a tail-female line of easy, natural mothers and Kendall again is no exception. A smaller brood of 4 was easier on both her and on us, with their little personalities and characters coming through much earlier than we’ve experienced with larger litters, making everything even more fun. These guys really were just FABULOUS to have around!

I was pretty excited by this litter from the outset and even more-so as the weeks drew on. We have kept a Sable Male who we think could grow to be really beautiful so we’ll wait to see if he becomes the dog we’d hoped. Thus far he’s had a pretty tidy baby career with three Baby in Group awards and 2 Baby Sweepstakes wins in large entries so that is lovely. The little girl nearly found her way into Leah Ryan’s (Vedamea Collies) handbag and we think she is ‘very Vedamea’ - reminiscent of her female line. So she has gone to our good friends Greta & Elliot in Canberra - along with older half-sister “Dolly” (Vedamea Cross My Heart) - to be loved, spoilt, shown, and hopefully enter our breeding program in the future; all things willing.

“Scout” and “Marley” have fallen into the most marvellous homes. Their families keep us up to date with glowing reports and nothing fills our hearts more than hearing from them, about all of their puppy antics, and how sweet they are. Thanks for giving these boys the BEST homes ever x

Our special thanks forever to Lance & Pat Golding for graciously allowing us to use Monty for this litter; his first.

We appreciate them letting him come visit with us, and for allowing us to have him tested and hip scored. Their kindness, generosity, and continued encouragement have enabled the dream to become a reality.
