This litter was an absolute joy to raise and had such sweet and very easy-going personalities. Lydia took to motherhood exceedingly well all things considered and was loving and attentive to her babies right through to weaning and beyond. It was a very even litter and as such we kept 4 babies until 12 weeks old whereafter we had made our picks and decided to run on a really gorgeous Sable boy who had the sweetest of expressions and was such a positive little mover right from the start - named “Raph” (Vedamea One Knight Stand) - as well as his sister “Kendall” (Vedamea About Last Knight) who was outshone by her brother in the show ring throughout their baby careers.

On their debut weekend at the Spring Fair Internationals, Raph won all 3 baby of breeds and went on to win BEST BABY PUPPY IN SHOW! He followed that up with 4 All Breeds Baby in Show wins as well as Baby in Show at the CCNSW Specialty under Louise Thomas Van Der Weide (Matlint Collies). Kendall was starting to blossom and rounded out the baby class with her first BEST BABY IN SHOW at the Illawarra Collie & Shetland Sheepdog Club Show. From there she was a really competitive puppy and was an All Breeds ‘in Show’ winner in every age class after that. Kenny as she is known around home is just the easiest most fantastic dog we have EVER lived with, which makes her a joy to own, and she really has a desire to please making showing and training for dog sports really enjoyable.

We think of these babies often and it warms our hearts…they were a joy to raise and love.
